A Coffee Bean Grinder Guarantees Freshness

Coffee will always taste better when it is freshly ground. And having your own coffee bean grinder will guarantee that you can have a fresh cup whenever you desire.

There are several advantages to grinding your own coffee beans, but perhaps the most important (besides freshness) is that you have complete control over how fine the grind is. If you know your coffee, you know just how important that is. So perhaps you’re now at least a little bit curious as to how you grind your beans.

If you haven’t tried grinding your own beans yet, maybe you think it’s hard to do. It isn’t. Or maybe you think it’s a messy process. Again, this simply isn’t correct.

In fact the only good reason not to grind your own beans is that it’s easier to simply open a can and start to brew. This is true, but I believe that once you taste the difference between grinding your own beans and buying canned supermarket beans, you’ll wonder why you didn’t start earlier.

The reason freshly ground beans taste better is because as soon as the grinding is done, the beans will naturally begin to lose some of the aroma and flavor. And the longer they sit, the more they will lose. If you brew them immediately after grinding, your cup will always taste and smell better.

So what kind of grinder should you get? There are two popular types on the market. You can get either a blade grinder or a burr grinder.

Blade grinders are less expensive. Basically they function like a blender, only smaller. They use the blades inside to do the grinding. And while these are still better than buying your coffee in a can, they do not produce the best results. When you grind coffee beans you want to get a large surface that can be exposed to the hot water. The greater the surface exposure, the more oils and flavor will be extracted. Blade grinders do not produce an even grind, especially the less expensive models. The result is that most coffee experts consider them inferior.

Your local coffee house will generally be using a burr grinder simply because they give you a much better grind. The burrs are discs made of metal, and they are spaced precisely to give you a much more even grind. The result is a better cup of coffee. And burr grinders are normally adjustable so you can set them for the type of coffee you prefer. Whether you like Turkish drip coffee or automatic drip coffee, a burr grinder will give you the exact grind you want.

Understand that what I consider a perfect cup of coffee may not be perfect for you. I am far from a coffee snob. But no matter what type of coffee you like, fresh ground beans will always taste better. And whether you decide on a burr or blade coffee bean grinder, you’ll find that the taste of your coffee will be far superior to what you are drinking now. Chances are you will have bought your last can of pre-ground coffee.

And just think how much easier it will be to get up when the alarm goes off, knowing you will have a great tasting, fresh cup of coffee available in just minutes.

For a great cup of coffee every time we suggest you think about buying an Aquabrew Coffee Maker. And if espresso is your drink of choice you should consider purchasing a Saeco Aroma Espresso Machine. For more coffee maker information visit www.PerfectCoffeeMakers.com.
